Jack Christi, D.C., Runs for Mayor of Houston

Former Houston City Council Member Jack Christie, DC, founder of Memorial Chiropractic Clinic in Houston and a practicing chiropractor for more than 35 years, is running for Mayor of the City of Houston–the largest city in Texas and the fourth largest city in the United States.

Dr. Christie, a Republican, has been involved in public service for decades, including multiple terms as Chair of the State Board of Education and President of the Spring Branch Independent School District Board of Trustees. Most notably, he served three terms on the Houston City Council At Large.

A fiscal conservative, Dr. Christie is locked in a crowded field that includes US Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee and State Sen. John Whitmire, among others. He launched his campaign noting he wants to create a "safe, stronger Houston" while seeking to balance the budget by cutting wasteful spending, improving public safety, and supporting law enforcement.

A long-time member of the Texas Chiropractic Association, Dr. Christie graduated from Texas Chiropractic College. He comes from a family of chiropractors with more than 100 combined years in the profession. Dr. Christie also spent six years in the Army Reserve Medical Corps.
