The originator of chiropractic, D.D. Palmer and his first patient Harvey Lillard.

What the world was like in 1895: Grover Cleveland was president of the U.S.; D.D. Palmer began administering chiropractic adjustments; City streets were devoid of autos and utilized horses; social events were common. 

At the turn of the millennium U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt rode his horse to the Alamo in 1905.

In 1908 the San Antonio Light newspaper covered Palmer’s discovery of Chiropractic.

In 1909 the Doctors Stone advertised in the newspaper and distributed their business cards.

The Texas State Journal of Medicine reported c. 1910 on the establishment of “the first chiropractic college in Texas”; Wm. Taft was President of the U.S.

Dr. J. N. Stone’s advertised credentials. 

The origins of the state chiropractic association commenced in 1915.

The first chiropractic association met in 1916 at the St. Anthony Hotel.
