1929

  • During the Great Depression the medical suppression of any new-school healthcare provider continued.

The Wall Street crash of 1929 brought about the beginning of the Great Depression, but during the 1930s the unrelenting attack of the medical community continued. 

By the 1940s the requirements to become a DC were four years of nine months each.  Doctors of Chiropractic continued to seek professional licensure and bills were generally submitted with each session of the legislature. 

The tenth President of the Texas Chiropractic Association, C. W. Maier, serves his fifth, and final term as President of the TCA.
